শুক্রবার (২৮ মার্চ) স্থানীয় সময় দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে মিয়ানমারের আঘাত হানে ৭ দশমিক ৭ মাত্রার একটি ভূমিকম্প। ভূমিকম্পের কেন্দ্রস্থল বা এপিসেন্টার ছিল সাগাইং শহরে ভূপৃষ্ঠের ১৬ কিলোমিটার গভীরে।
মার্কিন ভূতাত্ত্বিক জরিপ সংস্থা ইউএস জিওলজিক্যাল সার্ভে (ইউএসজিএস) অনুসারে, মিয়ানমারে ৭.৭ এবং ৬.৪ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্প আঘাত হেনেছে।
